Crisis Line is excited to announce that the Sexual Assault Response Program and the
Suicide Prevention Program have found new homes. As of January 1, 2012, the Sexual
Assault Response Program (SARP) will be merging with the YWCA of Central Virginia and
the Suicide Prevention Program will be merging with Mental Health America of Central
Virginia.

SARP will continue to offer the same programs and services it always has and remain in the
same location. A description of those programs and services can be found
here.

The Suicide Prevention Program will be moving to the Mental Health America of Central
Virginia offices in the United Way Building at 1010 Miller Park Square. The program will
continue to offer prevention and intervention trainings, consultation, school curriculum, and
more. For more information about the program or to get in touch with Amy Hart, the Suicide
Prevention Coordinator, after January 1, 2012, please call 434.847.9055.

We are sad to say goodbye to the Crisis Line agency after 28 years, but we are excited
that the programs we have dedicated our hearts and lives to are still going to be providing
those services to our community.
